All About Saratoga Doula Birth Support
Support

Postpartum Doula Support:
As a postpartum doula I provide support to new families during the early weeks and months after childbirth, helping them adjust to life with a newborn. I offer a range of services, including emotional support, assistance with newborn care and feeding, guidance on infant soothing techniques, and help with establishing routines. Postpartum doulas also support the birthing parent’s recovery by offering practical assistance with light household tasks and meal preparation.

Education

Childbirth Education Classes: I have partnered with The Parent Collective to bring their evidenced based childbirth education classes to our area. Their Prenatal Class Series is designed for couples (birth partners are encouraged to attend) to both learn and socialize, over the course of a four-week period. There will be an additional gathering after babies are born with a date to be determined by each group. Each prenatal session is 2 hours with ample time for discussion and relationship building. Our classes are best taken in the third trimester, ideally completed before 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Newborn Care Classes: Navigate the early days of parenthood with confidence through our newborn care classes. Learn essential skills such as diapering, bathing, soothing techniques, and basic newborn health. These classes are tailored to help you feel prepared and capable as you care for your new baby.

Postpartum Meet-Ups: Join our supportive postpartum meet-ups to connect with other new parents and share your experiences. These gatherings provide a space to discuss challenges, celebrate milestones, and receive guidance on topics like breastfeeding, sleep routines, and self-care. Our goal is to foster a sense of community and reassurance during this significant transition.
